Gwenn has held many positions with various companies over the years. But all along, her one desire was to one day become a writer. The job of graphics creation came along when Nanette and Joe Commendatore purchased The Prospect Pages in 1995. At that time, both Gwenn and Nanette were involved with the Prospect Chamber of Commerce. Nanette knew of Gwenn’s graphics ability and asked her if she would like to work with her. Gwenn worked for Nanette until 2001 when the business was being sold. Gwenn purchased The Prospect Pages and has been the owner since April 2001. Many changes since that time have taken place and with the growth of the internet and Facebook, The Prospect Pages have expanded to use both of those media outlets. She is thrilled to produce the monthly paper and have the chance to write columns fulfilling that desire to be a writer, even if it’s a monthly column or two for her readers.
THE PROSPECT PAGES STAFF:
Tracy Brody came on board in 2005 to help with most of the ad creation and layout. Since becoming the owner, Gwenn has relied upon Tracy and her excellent design abilities to step up and take over those responsibilities. Tracy has extensive graphic capabilities and has maintained other work that she does in her home office. We have counted on Tracy throughout the process of making this monthly paper and for getting all of the digital files to the printer on time and complete. She is a valuable part of this three-person team at The Prospect Pages.
Nanette Commendatore has been with The Prospect Pages since December of 1995, when she and her husband bought the business from original owner, Robert Marcella.
Nanette hired Gwenn Fischer to do the graphics work at the paper soon after purchasing it. When Nanette made the decision to sell, wanting to spend more time with raising her triplet boys, she sold the business to Gwenn in April of 2001. At that point, Nanette took over the advertising sales position, staying with the newspaper in that role. She is also involved with some of the editing and proofreading that comes each month with the press releases that are submitted. Needless to say, the two friends have worked together at The Prospect Pages for 20 years.
